APT Incheon Main Event Breaks Records With 1,393 Entries

The APT Incheon 2026 Main Event has officially become the biggest international poker tournament ever held in Incheon.

The ₩2.5 million buy-in Main Event attracted 1,393 entries, surpassing the previous Incheon record of 1,281 entries set in 2025 by nearly 10 percent. The result also makes it the second-largest APT Main Event ever held in South Korea, behind the 1,718-entry APT Jeju Main Event.

The field created a ₩3 billion prize pool, equivalent to approximately $2.15 million, more than twice the original ₩1.5 billion guarantee.

A total of 207 players reached the money, with each guaranteed at least approximately $2,700. The eventual champion will receive approximately $374,085, along with the coveted APT Lion Trophy and a $10,000 seat to the APT Championship in Taipei.

The record turnout is particularly notable given the crowded international poker calendar following the WSOP.

APT CEO Fred Leung said the continued growth reflects players’ confidence in the Asian Poker Tour despite competition from several overlapping poker festivals.

With the field now deep into Day 3, the record has already been established. The only question remaining is who will take the biggest share of it.
