Punnat Punsri Wins the Biggest Buy-In Event at APT Incheon

Thailand’s Punnat Punsri added another major APT trophy to his collection after winning the APT Superstar Challenge at Incheon.

Punsri defeated Vietnam’s Khoa Anh Ngo heads-up to win the prestigious event and KRW 360 million, while also earning a seat to the APT Championship.

The tournament carried a KRW 35 million buy-in and attracted 29 entries.

The prize pool reached KRW 961.35 million.

Ngo finished runner-up for KRW 239.21 million, while Calvin Sungwon Lee finished third for KRW 156.31 million.

The victory further strengthens Punsri’s reputation as one of the most successful players on the modern Asian Poker Tour.

The Thai professional was also one of the few players entering the Main Event with a previous APT Main Event title on his résumé.

He eventually finished 37th in the Main Event, but the Superstar Challenge provided a much bigger victory during the festival.

Punsri’s latest victory is his seventh APT title, further establishing his position among the tour’s most decorated players.

The Superstar Challenge was also one of the final major high-stakes events of the festival.

Punsri made sure the trophy went home with him.
