Jeremy Chan Finally Ends His Heads-Up Curse
Malaysia’s Jeremy Chan arrived at APT Incheon with an unusual record.
He had reached 26 final tables over three years without winning a title.
Five of those final tables had ended with Chan finishing runner-up.
At Incheon, that streak finally ended.
Chan defeated the Netherlands’ Michel Molenaar heads-up to win the APT Super High Roller and approximately KRW 236 million.
The victory was Chan’s long-awaited breakthrough.
It was also particularly meaningful because Chan had previously finished runner-up in the same Super High Roller at APT Incheon.
This time, he completed the job.
The victory came in one of the festival’s strongest fields, with the Super High Roller attracting high-stakes players from across Asia and beyond.
Chan’s win became one of the early headline stories of the festival before the Main Event eventually took center stage.
For a player who had repeatedly come close, the victory represented more than another tournament trophy.
It was the end of a three-year wait.
APT Incheon finally gave Jeremy Chan the win he had been chasing.
