APT Incheon Main Event Sets a New Benchmark in South Korea

The numbers from APT Incheon 2026 tell a story of continued growth for live poker in Asia.

The Main Event attracted 1,393 entries from 807 unique players, creating a KRW 3,008,880,000 prize pool, approximately US$2.15 million.

The tournament’s original guarantee was KRW 1.5 billion.

The final prize pool therefore effectively doubled the guarantee.

The turnout also made the Main Event the largest international poker tournament ever held in Incheon.

It ranks as the third-largest APT Main Event ever staged in South Korea, behind the 2025 APT Jeju Main Event with 1,693 entries and the 2026 APT Jeju Classic Main Event with 1,718.

The growth is particularly notable because the 2025 APT Incheon Main Event had already established a local record.

APT CEO Fred Leung said the result was especially meaningful given the increasingly competitive international poker calendar.

The tour is competing with major events around the world, yet Incheon continued to attract a large international field.

The result gives APT organizers another benchmark to beat when the tour returns.

For Incheon, however, the significance is immediate.

The city has now hosted its biggest international poker tournament to date.
