Ari Engel Finds Himself Spoiled for Choice at APT Incheon

APT Incheon is offering something unusual even by major poker festival standards: too many tournaments to play.

Among the players taking advantage of the schedule is American poker professional Ari Engel, who has built one of the game’s most diverse résumés.

The 2026 APT Incheon schedule features 106 events, with more than ten tournaments scheduled on an average day. Buy-ins range from relatively small events to high rollers approaching $24,000.

The festival is particularly heavy on mixed games.

Players can move between No-Limit Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, Draw and a collection of unusual formats that are rarely found together at a single live festival.

Engel began his series in the ₩3 million PLO High Roller, finishing third for just under $8,400. Japan’s Hattori Masato won that event.

But the schedule offers Engel—and other players—the opportunity to immediately move into another tournament after elimination.

Engel compared the experience to the WSOP in Las Vegas, where players can choose from multiple games and buy-in levels throughout the day.

APT Incheon has embraced that same philosophy.

For mixed-game specialists, high rollers and recreational players alike, the result is a festival where there is almost always another tournament waiting.
