Jeremy Chan Finally Breaks Through at APT Incheon

For years, Jeremy Chan had been collecting final tables without being able to close the deal.

That changed at APT Incheon.

The Malaysian player captured the APT Super High Roller 8-Max, defeating Dutch professional Michel Molenaar heads-up to secure his first major live title.

Chan earned ₩236,325,000, approximately $169,650, while also receiving a $10,000 APT Championship seat.

The victory is particularly meaningful because Chan had already accumulated nearly $850,000 in live tournament cashes across 66 results before the victory.

He had reached 26 final tables between April 2023 and August 2026, but five of those final-table appearances had ended with Chan finishing runner-up.

One of those second-place finishes came at the same APT Incheon Super High Roller one year earlier.

This time, Chan returned to the same stage and completed the job.

He defeated Molenaar in heads-up play, ending a long wait for another major title.

The victory also represents a career-best tournament result for Chan and gives him an early place among the biggest winners of the APT Incheon festival.

For a player who had become accustomed to finishing second, this was the breakthrough he had been waiting for.
