Main Event Action Begins as APPT Manila Enters Its Biggest Stage
The APPT Manila Main Event officially entered the tournament schedule on August 6, beginning the most important phase of the 2026 festival.
The tournament is built around a ₱60 million guarantee, with the ₱80,000 buy-in placing it firmly at the center of the series. Four starting flights—Days 1A through 1D—give players several opportunities to enter before the field combines for Day 2.
The first flight began the process of building the field while the surrounding tournament schedule remained active.
Players could also participate in side events such as the APPT Super High Roller, Ladies Event, High Roller Turbo and various qualifiers. This created a particularly busy environment at Cove Manila, with several tournaments operating simultaneously.
The Main Event’s structure also distinguishes it from the faster daily competitions. With 40-minute levels during Day 1, players have considerably more time to make decisions and accumulate chips.
For many competitors, however, the attraction goes beyond the guarantee. The APPT Main Event represents the flagship title of the Manila festival and an opportunity to add a major APPT result to their tournament records.
