Jeju’s Eden Awakens Marked the Birth of Gods of Poker
Every major poker tour has a defining first chapter, and for Gods of Poker (GOP), that chapter began on Jeju Island, South Korea. From December 5 to 14, 2025, the tour officially launched its inaugural festival, Eden Awakens, at LES A Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, introducing a fresh concept to the Asian live poker scene.
The debut festival featured 80 trophy events with a combined KRW 2 billion (approximately US$1.5 million) in guaranteed prize pools, signaling GOP’s ambition from the very beginning. The Main Event alone carried a KRW 1 billion guarantee, becoming the centerpiece of the series.
Jeju was selected not only for its world-class integrated resort but also because of its accessibility to Asian players. The island’s international connections, tourism appeal, and established reputation as a host for major poker festivals made it an ideal location to introduce the new brand.
